  • Graduate of the Journalism Program at Cambrian College, 1980.
  • Member of the Sudbury Sports Hall of Fame, inducted 2000.
  • Member of the House of Kin's Sudbury Sports Hall of Fame and Annual Sports Celebrity Dinner Committee.
  • Recipient of a recognition award on behalf of the local curling community, presented at the Ontario Federation of Schools' Athletic Association Girls' and Boys' Curling Championships in 2004.
  • Reported on big events such as the Air Canada Cup, the Canadian Special Olympics Summer Games, the Labatt Brier, the World Junior Track and Field Championships, and the 1993 World Series, including interviews with Wayne Gretzky and Terry Fox.
  • Has served on committees for the Laurentian Voyageurs Hall of Fame, the National Boxing and Training Association, the Scott Tournament of Hearts, the Silver Stick hockey tournament, and the Strokes for Hope golf tournament
  • Media awards: 1998 Team Ontario Media Award, 2000 Ontario University Athletics Media Award, and the 2000 Sudbury District Chamber of Commerce Recognition Award.
