SportLink will utilize sport as a means for economic and community development by facilitating events, by leadership and educational opportunities, and by advocating communication and cooporation between community partners.

Our Roots ...

Under the guidance of The Sudbury and District Sports Central, The Sudbury Region was a venue of choice for high profile sporting events, and a place for the development of several high profile athletes, in a variety of sports.

A Solid Future...

We are a not for profit organization comprised of several board members who are experienced in several domains including sport, media, event planning, volunteering and administration. 

We are in place to revitalize Greater Sudbury’s sporting reputation and appeal by addressing needs based on research conducted in the community. Serving the needs of the entire Greater Sudbury community will result in meeting, even exceeding the success of the past. Join us in creating a strong sporting community!

What We Do...

We Ensure Communication

• Developing partnerships with private & public sectors
• Improving networking between sport groups
• Creating a resource centre and database
• Providing a voice for sport at City Council

We Strive to Improve Facilities

• Assessing needs for new facilities
• Identifying improvement for existing facilities
• Reviewing agreements between groups and facilities
• Taking comprehensive inventory of facilities

We Generate Economic Development

• Offering assistance in bidding/hosting events
• Sponsorship & advertising campaigns
• Publicizing events in tourism mediums
• Facilitate transportation and accomodation

We Provide Funding Potential

• Access and information to government and other types of funding sources
• Guidance and information for groups seeking funding for events and competitions
• Identifying means for corporate sponsorship
