Joe MacDonald Youth Football Club

About This Group

Established in 1993, this league's name is named after Constable Joe MacDonald, a police officer who was killed in the line of duty. This tribute is to honor him and the contributions he made to this community.

The league has three divisions:
» Mini Macs: ages 9 to 10
» Sid Forster Tyke Division: ages 11 to 12
» Phil Smith Sr. Bantam Division: ages 13 to 15

Each team will have 6-8 players, depending on registration numbers. This is a form of football developed in Texas where rural communities didn't have the numbers for the standard 12 person team. Some years, the Joe MacDonald Youth Football League will offer 12 person teams if demand is high.

Joe MacDonald Youth Football stresses the importance of youth development in the physical and social sense, building high standards for both. They are also a strong foundation for those who wish to continue playing football throughout high school and college/university.
